Gradual transition for legacy system modernization


A
 financial IT solutions provider needed to modernize two integration projects with outdated legacy systems.

Initially, the goal was a full system rewrite, but this posed high risks. Instead, the strategy shifted to a gradual transition using an intermediary facade, allowing new applications and services to replace legacy functionalities while maintaining stability.

Strategic leadership and process optimization 

7N provided expertise in offshore operations, leadership integration, and process optimization to drive a successful transition.

Key initiatives included:

Facilitating knowledge transfer and embedding leadership on-site in India to align teams across locations

Establishing governance frameworks to enhance collaboration and operational transparency

Co-developing a structured ramp-up plan to grow the offshore team from 20 to 90+ specialists, ensuring cultural alignment and long-term sustainability
