7N core values: Professionalism, Mindset of a Servant, and Respect have been accelerating everything we do for years. These values have always been the essence of our identity and culture. They are not only written down as a statement – they shine through every action we take, and every project or task in which we are involved. In other words, everyday work of all 7N employees is built on a foundation of core values, which means a lot to us.
Not infrequently do our consultants and clients admit that cooperating with 7N brings a first-hand experience of how our company values materialize in a working environment. It makes us not only proud, but also willing to do even better.
Today, we would like to give everyone an insider perspective on how three of our 7Ners from all over the world perceive our first company value: Professionalism. To do so, we asked them three questions. Discover what Anders Søgaard, Competence Expert and Advisor at 7N Denmark, Agnieszka Długosz, Senior Recruitment Specialist at 7N Poland, and Vrajendra Singh Rana, Senior Consultancy Manager, IRD from 7N India have to say.
What does Professionalism mean to you? How do you understand it?
According to Anders Søgaard, Professionalism is about solving the right problems, and solving the problems right.
“The way to do this is by having a combination of professional hard skills and soft skills, which means utilizing both a high level of expertise with capabilities to listen, understand, challenge, and communicate effectively with people. Also, a certain level of experience is needed to become a true professional. Having been in challenging situations before and knowing how these affect you and the team is extremely valuable,”
For Agnieszka Długosz, Professionalism means doing her best at work. Every day, she uses her professional experience and knowledge, so that every person with whom she cooperates benefits from the process. She believes that it is crucial to keep high work ethics in mind and understand the needs of others.
Vrajendra Singh Rana claims that Professionalism is a combination of respect, integrity, and passion. He insists on treating co-workers respectfully and equally, regardless of their roles. For him, integrity is all about doing the “right things” even when no one is watching. He believes that it is crucial to perform one’s role with integrity. When it comes to passion, he perceives it as the spice that adds flavor to our life – so it is worth injecting it into every task we undertake.
How is Professionalism visible at 7N? How is it manifested?
“It is important to see people act in a professional way, before you embrace it yourself. At 7N, it is one of our core values we emphasize from the start whenever candidates join. As their journey continues, they experience Professionalism firsthand while interacting with clients and co-workers,”
Simultaneously, Anders believes that Professionalism is visible in the quality of results, the time in which they are delivered, and how happy people you work with are to have you on the team. For Agnieszka, Professionalism at 7N is all about cooperation with the best-in-class experts – no matter if we talk about our consultants, agents, or supporting departments. This cooperation is based on friendship, trust, and mutual respect, which helps us achieve common goals.
How do you implement Professionalism in your everyday work? Why do you believe it is important?
“To implement Professionalism in your everyday work, you need to know what your range of expertise is. Additionally, you need to understand your personal strengths and weaknesses, so that you can manage your weaknesses, and bring your strengths forward. In fact, all the traits from the 7N Secret Code will help you be more professional in your line of work. To understand why Professionalism is important, you just have to imagine the opposite,”
Vrajendra personally believes that working in an organized way helps to stay professional. One must have a systematic and meticulous approach to small tasks and bigger projects.
“I am always looking for ways to improve my everyday work, and, definitely, the people surrounding me are a great source of inspiration and new ideas,”
“Every day brings me a chance to broaden my competencies; the inspiring people I meet are my motivational factors. In my opinion, Professionalism is a constant attempt at improving one’s skills,”
